Red Wine Sauce


  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 50gm Bombay onions (chopped)

  • 50gm big onions (chopped)

  • 1 spring fresh Thyme

  • 2 tbsp plain flour

  • 400ml red wine


  • 5 tbsp sugar

  • 1/2 tbsp chicken stock granule


  1. Heat up butter and olive oil in the preheated sauce pan to sauté the onions and fresh Thyme until aromatic.

  2. Spoon flour, add red wine, bring to boil. Simmer over low heat for 5-10 minutes, season with sugar and chicken stock granule. Next, strain well, then bring back to the boil until slightly thicken, remove from the heat, ready to serve.
