Eat food when it is still fresh. Some food especially vegetables and fruits start to lose their minerals and vitamins right after cut. To obtain maximum nutrition value of the food, try not to keep your cut vegetables or fruits for to long before eating.

Knowing when to eat is important because the benefits that you can gain from the food may be vary according to the time (in a day) that you eat. If you eat the food in the wrong time may cause you some unwanted side effects such as sleepiness, insomnia, stomach upset, indigestion or weight gain.

How to Eat?

By using an appropriate healthy cooking methods and techniques, you may maintain the good taste of food at the same time minimize the food's nutrition being lost while cooking. If possible, eat the vegetables in raw to obtain its highest health benefits.

Examples of healthy cooking methods are including steaming, stir-frying, baking, grilling, roasting and poaching.

Avoid deep frying cooking method as it is not good for health. Nutrients contain  in your food will be destroyed in the high heat conduction of oil. The overheating or over-using oil may contain some deleterious or even toxic components that may harm to your health.
